Do you want him completely pain free? That would be nice but it's not very likley. My husband has been through 6 back operations. 4 were ruptured disc's 1 was bone fragments and 1 was a bone fusion. Completey pain free would be so wonderful but we both know it's not likley. On the other hand, the pain he does have is not anywhere close to the pain he had BEFORE surgery. He's learned over the years to put up with it. He gets pain meds that do a little but not a lot. And after any injury or surgery, you are more likely to get arthriits. It's been 24 years now for him. Praying for you husband. And for you! I know what it's like to watch someone you love go through all that pain and fear. I guess it depends on what type of help you are looking for.
